Even with all the development in Las Vegas the new high-rise condominium project Metropolis is creating a lot of buzz in the industry.  This new project built by renowned developer Randall Davis will be the county’s first high-rise condominium project with loft style floor plans. The design and feeling of the units are so different from anything else in Las Vegas; I think it is a welcome change. The design is turn-of –the-century art deco with horizontal bands running across the structure and topped with stainless steel and neon lights.


Looking at these units reminds me of the trendy buildings on the East coast or maybe the lofts San Francisco.  Being so close to the Las Vegas Strip is very convenient, shopping, dining out, entertainment anything and everything the strip has to offer.  


With fantastic views of the mountains by day and breathtaking views of the city and of course the Strip at night Metropolis has much to offer.


Building Features

There is a private wine Room ("Cellar") with full caterer's kitchen for private functions.

There is a first class Fitness Centre with state of the art equipment.

Ample storage rooms are available for purchase.

There is a concierge station in the lobby.

There is an elegant private lobby with a 2-story ceiling.

There are 14 guest-parking spaces plus street parking.

Tandem and or side-by-side assigned parking spaces are available.

Access to the private parking garage is through controlled access gates. Each Homeowner will receive two transmitters.

Visitor access is through the lobby via a phone entry system that will also enable the Homeowner to have video capability through their television.

There are two (2) elevators. Dimensions: 6' 8" wide x 5' 5" deep and 9' tall are approximate.

There are two (2) stairway exits from the building.

There is a maintenance work area for an on-site employee. His/Her duties will include but are not limited to:

Cleaning garage area
Light maintenance
General residence assistance
Cleaning the pool
Cleaning hallways
Trash Duty

All structural floors will be constructed using plywood forms, thus there will be minor markings in the concrete ceiling.

The building has a fire sprinkler system for the common areas as well as the individual units.

Exterior Features

With elegance and style in mind...

The Metropolis is to be built according to plans and specifications by Spencer Partnership Architects, with modifications by the developer during the construction process.

Exterior is EIFS, glass, with accents made from pre-cast concrete. Plans call for 8" or 9" of concrete between floors. The party walls are double wall construction with four layers of drywall and sound insulation between the studs.

Detailed and varied balcony railings compliment the building.

Double thermo paned windows will vary in number and size due to the variety of floor plans. The amount of total glass area will vary depending on the floor plan selected.

The roof is a single ply system over tapered insulation on top of an 8" or 9" concrete deck.

The swimming pool is oversized. There will be extensive landscaping within the pool courtyard, the motor court and at the entrance. A fountain is preliminary planned for the corner of Desert Inn and Debbie Reynolds.

Interior Features

For your comfort and convenience...

The building includes Lofts and Flats.

All residences will have a balcony/terrace. Total square footage varies with floor plan.

Loft ceilings are preliminarily designed to be 9' on the lower level and 9' on the upper level.
The open living areas will have 19' 6" high ceilings.

Flats are designed to have 10' 9" ceilings.

Units vary in width from 21' - 28' wide

Generally, the first floor will be a combination of sealed concrete, wood, tile, and carpet.
Please check your individual floor plans.

Shower wall are marble or slate.

The front door will be either single or double 7'x 7' 6" or 8' solid core, depending on the floor. The upstairs or downstairs bathroom door will be a glass door with the Buyer choosing from standard glass samples. All other interior doors will be standard hollow core.

Mechanical plans call for most units to have two (2) AC units.
